Winter weather makes me bundle up in layers of warm, fleecy ugliness. But there are women who don’t give up the fashion ship when the weather outside is frightening. They are silver foxes to my drab muskrat. They are the grey fashionistas.

I’m inaugurating my first “aging with attitude” commendation. And the premier award goes to “Advanced Style.” In this blog, writer/photographer Ari Seth Cohen celebrates beautiful women of age he discovers straight off the streets of New York. From gorgeous grey hairs to sophisticated style mavens, his photos demonstrate it’s never too late–or too cold– to dazzle. 

Maybe there’s even still hope for me. But don’t expect me to give up the cocooning warmth of my shapeless hoodies. Not till the sun shines Nellie!
