Oslo has everything we crave in a  travel destination.  Great art, museums and architecture, strong cultural character and interesting neighborhood s, delicious food and loads of nature and natural beauty.  And a waterside is always a joy.

With only three days to immerse ourselves in this city, we made maximum use of Our Oslo Pass for entry to museums and public transit. There’s a ton of museums and we hardly made a dent.  But there big wows everywhere.

our days started with breakfast at the hotel and then short explorations around our quiet  neighborhood which turned out to be the embassy district so it was cool to see a who’s who of flags ranging from Italy to China.  We weren’t in the hotel district by the harbor though we spent thrilling and exhausting hours there each afternoon.

There’s three more things  that made Oslo for us.

1.The city is spanking clean everywhere. Even the dogs must be cleaning up after themselves.

2. Public transportation is fast, frequent and reliable. It’s also super walkable ( we did 20k plus steps nearly each day.

3. The dazzling blue sky and luminous cloud formations became a focal point in nearly all our fotos.  We had perfect weather!

In fact, I’m going to let my pix do the talking for our first two days of Oslo adventuring rather than rattle on. However, I promise to write another post about our third day with this tease: It will give you the munchies!
